The clients selected some amazingly beautiful (and equally amazingly expensive) tile and my DeWalt 10" tile saw is just not big enough to rip these things without extraordinary measures. The floor tiles are 7 5/8" by 47 1/4" long, full 10mm gauge, and the hardest classification of porcelain ceramic tile made. The wall tiles are soft-bodied, but measure 39 1/2" by 13 1/8". I was very nervous about putting a blade to any of them but this saw has made the job fairly easy. The ergonomics of this saw are very good. It is heavy, obviously of a good build quality. The handle, switch and balance are all top notch. Visibility of the blade is very good as well. I have made about 100 cuts with it to date, and it cuts almost as well dry as it does using the included water feed. Making full length rips, I have learnt to use the water feed to control heat build up, although some were made dry as well. Today I cut a 45 degree miter, 35 inches long, and it went as easy as pie. The attached GFI on the power cord is similar to the one on my 10" wet saw, and works without issue. Two minor issues:The thumb screw that sets the depth adjustment is easy to reach, but a bit too small for my liking. It is sometimes a bit hard to tighten or loosen. The other issue is that there is no case included. I own a lot of tile setting tools, and I really like to keep them all in their cases. Outside of these two concerns, no problems whatsoever.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful.Alternative use of dewalt tile cutterBy David in AlbuquerqueI purchased this wet cutting circular saw for cutting flagstone in the field. I already have a MK101 for tile. The stones are large and heavy and I needed a machine that could cut the stone on the ground. I am able to score the stone and then finish the cut with a brick chisel. The cuts are often over 2' long in 2" thick stone. I replaced the tile cutting blade with a diamond, segmented rim blade for a quicker cut. The blade that came with the saw was ok but was slow for the my purpose. The saw is fairly quiet and has adequate power. I installed a hose clamp at the saw end of the water feed to keep the tube attached to the saw. I would prefer a saw with a larger blade capacity, more power and a greater water flow. The saw is a big improvement over using a dry cut blade.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful.DeWalt wet dry tile cutterBy Charles S. MarcheseGreat tile cutter.
