This battery should last longer than the tool! I harvest the A123 cells (8 of them) for use in radio-control electric powered airplanes. We know that none have self-destructed like Lipo batteries. A123 cells still produce 90% output after 1,000 use cycles, and are rated for 2,000 cycles. The battery pack is exceptionally sturdy and well made. GoresI have long been a fan of the DeWalt 18v line but could not resist upgrading to the 28v line for a couple of tools I had been wanting. While the 28v tools are great it is the batteries that really stand out. Although this battery is physically large it weighs the same as a 14.4v nicad and noticeably less than my 18v nicads. The run time is great which, when combined with the estimated 2000 cycle lifespan means that I should be replacing these batteries far less often.When you factor in that one of these batteries from Tool King is $30-40 less than an 18v lithium xrp it makes for a compelling argument to upgrade.1 of 1 people found the following review helpful.Battery ReturnBy Marilyn J.
