Illuminate your work area and keep your hands free for improved precision and safety with the versatile DeWalt DC509 36-volt lithium-ion floodlight. Featuring a unique flex-neck design with a lockable head that allows for custom beam placement, this light is easy to hang when you are working in a precarious spot, but it also offers a sturdy base for when you want to stand the light up. More notably, with the wide-angle beam, your work area filled with more light than a traditional flashlight can provide, and a Xenon bulb ensures that this light is extra bright. Used with one of DeWalt's 36-volt NANO-phosphate lithium-ion batteries, the DC509 benefits from exclusive technology that provides more power and a longer life in a lighter package (battery not included). This flashlight can run up to eight hours on a single charge, so you won't have to worry about it fading in the middle of an important project.Brighten up dark, shadowy spaces with the DEWALT DC509 floodlight and you’ll work faster and reduce costly mistakes. This compact light runs off of a powerful 36-volt rechargeable lithium-ion battery that provides up to eight hours of illumination. And best of all, its multi-position design allows you to keep both hands free. The lamp head is attached to a long, flexible neck that can be extended and aimed to shine light in any direction. You can even bend the neck and loop it around a pipe, wall stud, floor joist or virtually any other object, to provide hands-free light wherever you need it. The DC509 is especially helpful when running electrical cable, plumbing sinks, repairing HVAC systems, and working in closets and other cramped spaces. Clip the lamp back onto the body of the floodlight, and it can be carried about and used like a standard flashlight, or placed on the floor for illuminating low-level work, such as the installation of baseboard and shoe moldings, carpet tack strips, hardwood flooring, and hot-water baseboard heaters. The DC509 is equipped with a rugged Xenon bulb that produces an extremely bright-white, wide-angle beam of light. In fact, the light is so bright, several people can work within its field of illumination. The floodlight weighs just over one pound (without the battery) and is backed by a DEWALT 90-day money-back guarantee, full one-year service contract, and three-year limited warranty. Battery and charger are sold separately.

CardI don't know if I should be putting this on the web, but I wanted to give everyone the lowdown on this light. This light does a pretty good job of lighting your work area, but not near as good as corded. It is a bit fragile too and doesn't seem to stand up to tough job-site conditions as well as i thought it would. The main reason I bought it was for the long (supposed 8 hr) battery life. I have yet to keep it on for 8 hours yet, but so far the battery hasn't died on me yet. I have kept it on for a couple hours strait. One of the things that I am worried about with this guy is the fact that I have heard (possibly rumors) that if you over-discharge the battery, it can be permanently damaged in lithium technology. This is not a problem with the other tools in the DeWalt 36v series because they lose power when its time to charge. The problem lies with this light because it can use a battery all the way to the point of over-discharging. The Bosch litheon light has an auto shutoff feature to prevent this but I have yet to hear about this feature on DeWalts light. -If anyone knows about this please comment on it!!!The last and main point I want to make that most probably don't know is this: I had bought this light online and the first time I used it the thing broke on me. Luckily I have a service center very near my house, so I took it in. The thing they told me was the earlier versions of the lights have a defect in the little hose deal from the body to the actual light. It can easily come disconnected and prevent the light from working. However, they fixed it in later models and sent me a brand new one free of charge0 of 0 people found the following review helpful.I use this light very often!By J. T. HwangI use the flash light often and the light that was included in the kit had pretty wimpy flex, so it would droop when I try to bend it into a L. With the replaced unit, it is much stiffer so that it'll hold any shape I can bend into. This thing is bright and operates for a very long time. I have not yet had to replace the bulb, but I have a packet that I've bought on Amazon ready to go in the even they need to be replaced. A bit pricy, but if cost was concern, one would have settle on a lesser brand or voltage. I've found these tools never quit, robust and heavy duty, works longer than I ever could. If you already have 36V batteries, these flash lights are great!0 of 0 people found the following review helpful.36v dewalt lightBy Peter KaminskyFunny- does not seem put out as much light as 18v.
